Its creation signals a historic commitment to transparency, accountability, public trust, and global alignment in financial reporting and
auditing. ETiCPA is entrusted with developing a strong, ethical, and internationally recognized accountancy profession that serves the
public interest and supports Ethiopia’s economic and social transformation.
Our Mandate
ETiCPA is legally empowered to:
- Register and certify accounting technicians and certified public accountants
- Set professional standards, including ethics and practice requirements
- Administer examinations and qualification programs
- Enforce quality assurance, inspections, and disciplinary processes
- Promote ethics, independence, and public interest protection
- Strengthen public confidence in financial reporting and governance systems All team members are encouraged to participate and share updates.
