Governance at ETiCPA

ETiCPA operates under a clear governance framework that ensures transparency, integrity, and accountability in fulfilling its legal mandate. The Institute is guided by a governing Council, supported by specialized Committees and an operational Secretariat.

This structure ensures effective decision-making, sound oversight, and professional administration in the regulation and development of the accountancy profession in Ethiopia.

Accountability & Transparency

ETiCPA is accountable to the public and operates under national laws and professional standards. The Institute publishes annual reports, audited financial statements, and strategic plans in line with good governance principles.

The Council / Board

The Council is the supreme governing body of the Institute. It provides strategic direction, approves policies, oversees institutional performance, and ensures that ETiCPA fulfills its statutory obligations.

The Council is composed of representatives from government, the profession, academia, and relevant stakeholders.

The Secretariat

The Secretariat is the administrative arm of ETiCPA. It is responsible for implementing policies, managing daily operations, supporting members and students, and delivering professional services.

It is led by senior management and staffed with technical and administrative personnel.
